AWE

AWE

I have lost my sense of Awe
It’s much worse than before.
When Diabetes came with all its glory
It created an intercellular fury.
The inflammation causes the fires to reign
with many Doctors still unable to explain.
For thousands of years the question remains
Can anyone free us from all these pains?

Hi,
You left a question on my blog (mynewislets) about whether my glycogen kicks in when my blood glucose goes too low.

I am not sure, I would think so, but I am confused as to why it is even going low at all. I am going to run the question by my doctor.

I noticed on you profile that one of your favorite books is Flowers for Algernon. That is so interesting to my because that is one of my fears about this whole islet transplant procedure. I am so afraid that I will follow the normal curve and go back to where I was. So far, it has been wonderful, and I would do it again, no question. But it is kind of strange to know that statistically speaking, it is probably temporary. I am, of course hoping that it lasts a long time and that maybe by that time, it will be commonplace to go and get another.

But, anyway, thanks for your interest. I will let you know what the doctor says,

Kathy
